    1. 4.5I've read a few of Ms. Cain's medieval stories and really enjoyed them. So I was excited when I saw she had written a Regency. I was quickly sucked into the story, I really enjoy Ms. Cain's writing style, I think she is a great storyteller. Eliza was a likable heroine. She's had a rough life, but has a positive outlook and is a fighter. She's in desperate need of aide when she meets Lord Alistair Kennedy, who offers her a job as governess to his niece and nephew. She eagerly agrees and they l [...]

    2. The Blue Drawing Room (Regency Rendezvous Book 2) by Carmen Caine is a fantastic Regency read. While, book 2 in the REGENCY RENDEZVOUS series, it can be read as a stand alone. This is part of a multi - author series. Different authors, different stories. This is the journey of Eliza Plowman, penniless and jilted with a colorful French vocabulary, who applies for a governess job with the charming Scottish rogue, Lord Alistair Kennedy, for his illegitimate children. Alistair decides Eliza is just [...]

She has no family left and resorts to trying to find a job and visits Lady Prescott, as a last resort. Eliza's father had rescued Lady Prescott's son, so Eliza felt she could ask for some help. There she meets Lord Alastair Kennedy, Lady Prescott's stepson who hires her as [...]
