    1. I received a copy of Michael Bast's "Fremont Rosnebloom: Party Assassin for Hire"compliments of Firstreads Giveaway program and appreciated the opportunity. I provide my unbiased and humble thoughts.I will start by saying I had no idea what to expect from this fictional novelIt presents as a chunk of a book in size and I was rather intrigued by both the front and back cover photos. My curiosity pushed my interest and I was pleasantly surprised. This book is chalked full of humour, with equal pa [...]

    2. Fremont Rosenbloom is a 17-year-old boy living on his own so he resorts to running a shady business where he ruins special events to help people get revenge. He's good at what he does and doesn't have problems finding work. It was interesting to learn the circumstances that led to that decision. He has a good friend, Adeline Van Apple (Addy), who tries to help him reform and a neighbor, Modesto, who he has a special bond with. Someone new moves in and Fremont is suspicious of him. With Addy's hel [...]

    3. Some people have a knack for throwing events. Fremont Rosenbloom has a knack for ruining them. Want a very public revenge on someone, that involves complete embarrassment? Fremont is your man! I thought it was clever that Michael Bast mentions the fact that his main character is a little rough around the edges. Truth be told, it's not easy to like Fremont at first. Trust me though, he'll grow on you. I honestly couldn't believe how much depth there ended up being in this story. Color me impresse [...]

    4. Fremont reminded me of Winger, the book written by Andrew Smith. It's about a 17 year old boy abandoned by his father, alone in the world, and in need of money. The kid who manages to stay under the radars of CPS or other such organizations creates a weird kind of job : party pooper. Like Winger, Fremont has a family, but his father left him two years ago. He has managed on his own since, with enough money left. But he got close to his neighbor Modesto, a gambler who cannot resist the appeal of [...]

    5. Have someone you want revenge on? Want a party ruined, a special occasion to go all wrong- then Fremont is the boy to hire. Life has never been easy for Fremont; from his mother's death to his father leaving him all on his own, the odds have never been in his favor. Thanks to a shady neighbor, and a new "business" Fremont is barely making it by. Fremont does have a few good friends in his corner and wishes he could live a different life, but the cards life have dealt him have left him cornered i [...]

    6. I really liked it. I heard about it from a friend at school and so I read it. I couldn't put it down and for someone like me thats a big deal, because I have a hard time finishing books if they aren't really good. I liked how the characters felt like real people and the problems they had were real. I even secretly wish I could go watch when Fremont goes and ruins some of the weddings and birthday parties. I hope there is another book about Fremont because I'd read it in a heartbeat.
