    1. Really fun book to readThis series takes place around Austin, Texas. Places I know and pictured it vividly. Roy and Mia are hired to recover stolen Hobo nickels, also couple other insurance fraud cases. Their attractions toward each other growing, but seeing other people. Mia is having problems with her boyfriend, Roy also suspect his real estate agent girlfriend. But they both there to support and help each other. Learned about Hobo nickels. One thing didn't made any sense; how could he see the [...]

    2. I love Rehder's characters!I'm always a little bummed when I finish a Ben Rehder book. I enjoy the situations and the mystery and humor so much, and I know I'm going to have to wait awhile for the next book. And usually I learn something while I'm reading.Like most people, I had never heard of hobo nickels. After reading about them I had to Google them and see examples. Now I will be watching my nickels, just in case there are some loose ones out there. This book is a fast read because it's hard [...]

    3. I have to admit these characters grow on you. I'm disappointed there isn't a number 4 to move on to. That being said this book was pretty hard to put down. There is enough excitement and mystery to keep you guessing and some pretty good detective work involved. I have enjoyed these three books and would go on to his other series but I have way too many books in my waiting list at the moment.

    4. A most excellent 5 star read! hope this isn't the end of the series tried his other series but, not so much:(

    5. Well deserved five stars!I think I I'm being repetitive now but with the oozing charm and witty rapport, the Roy Ballard series is easily one of my favorites. The plot is great and one I've never read before. That in itself is fantastically refreshing. I HIGHLY recommend this entire series. It was entertaining and engaging from the beginning. The subject matter was interesting and the twists kept the pages turning. I think I have a new favorite author! Im looking forward to diving in to the next [...]

    6. The legal videographer team of Roy Ballard and Mia Madison is working on several different cases for their insurance company clients. But they keep coming back to the Dnn murder, though they solved one aspect of Alex Dunn’s death, the theft of his hobo nickel coin collection, hence the title of the book. I really enjoy this series as it offers a challenge in the following the clues to a mystery. Ben Rehder offers many threads that need untangling. And, the end was a surprise to me. I enjoyed t [...]

    7. Another enjoyable story in the Roy Ballard Mystery series. I hope author Rehder is planning on a long series. I will read all of them.

    8. Witty and smart.Just another job for Roy and Mia - lots of fun, misadventure and guessing who did what and maybe to whom for the reader.

    9. This is book three of the Roy Ballard series but I've missed the first two! It didn't matter. The book is enough to stand alone and have rich characters without feeling like I was missing anything. It moves quickly and has enough dips and turns to keep you turning the pages looking for more. The humor is great and reminiscent of Harlen Coben and his writing which is a big plus. I will going back to read the first two in this series!

    10. A crazy partnership that always finds the bad guys.Mia and Roy bend a fe rules, break a few rules but they always get the villain. They have good instincts and nose around like bloodhounds until until they they find what or who they are looking for. They have a chemistry that seems to be burning to the end of the candle. Maybe more there then either of these astute individuals are able to see what is in front of them,

    11. Ben Rehder creates some of the best characters. You can't help but love them. Roy Ballard and his partner Mia make a great team. Their banter and wit keep me engaged from book beginning to end. And they do a darn good job of tracking down all sorts of fraud, be it insurance scams or even solving murders along the way. For fast-moving mystery and fun, Ben Rehder's characters can't be beat.

    12. Alex Dunn owned one of the most valuable collections of hobo nickels in the world, and it appears somebody killed him for it. Now Roy Ballard and Mia Madison are hired by the insurance company to track the collection down.

    13. Enjoy the humor with these characters, did not think I was going to enjoy the romance with between them but I did enjoy it in the end.

    14. Good readingLove murder mysteries with a little bit of humorThank you Mr Rehder My sister lives near where you write about.

    15. I feel like I'm reading a different series than other readers. These books are ok but they move a bit slow as slow as Roy pursuing Mia. They're fine books, but not outstanding mysteries.

    16. Fun readingGood for a quick and pleasant read. Knowing the back story on the two main characters made even better. I plan to continue reader this author's books.

    17. GreatAnother wonderful installment to the series. I couldn’t put it down . Unlike most books, the plot takes twists and turns you can't always predict!
